Understanding Children’s Behaviours
About this training
Sometimes, we feel baffled by the way a child or young person behaves. Their behaviours can appear to have no trigger, no build up, things can come from nowhere! The thing is, there is always a reason for the way a child presents to the world in any moment. If we can be curious about this, we are a long way towards being able to give them the help that they need.
In this workshop, we explore possible reasons behind behaviours and how to use our language, verbal and non-verbal, to support children whose behaviours are hard to understand.
This workshop is suitable for adults working with children in any setting as well as parents and carers.
