Walking and talking

We offer walking and talking with both adults and teens

We have found that walking alongside someone can feel less intimidating, especially if you struggle with eye contact or feel awkward being in a close relationship with someone.

Being outside also brings movement to the body which research shows is good for people who have experienced trauma, the rhythmical movement sends a message to our bodies that it's okay to relax reducing our heart rate and the fight/ flight response.

When we feel more relaxed it allows us to talk through any difficult issues more freely.
