We are fortunate to work in schools and recently we’ve carried out a programme called ‘Real Love Rocks’ developed by Barnardo’s about healthy relationships and child sexual exploitation awareness. We do this by developing trusting non-judgemental relationships, so we can establish a connection where children and young people feel safe and able to explore sensitive issues.
We have learnt that being curious about their perceptions enables us to see the world through their eyes, bringing a sense of understanding and acceptance, so if they need support when relationships are difficult they know they can turn to others for help.
