Saying no can feel uncomfortable for some, but setting boundaries prevent us doing things that don’t serve us well. It may also bring authenticity to relationship, which creates a feeling of safety allowing for intimacy to develop.
If you feel saying no will help you, the first step may be to notice why you are finding it difficult, name the feeling, developing an understanding of where the uncomfortable feelings come from.
Then maybe practice saying no with people you feel safest with, continuing to notice your responses. 😊
