Patience may be difficult when we want to change the way we feel, we may become self critical which can create more of a disturbance within us.
Sometimes, noticing the sensations in our bodies (like a tightening in our throat) and then taking a few deep breaths into the sensation, can help settle us. It takes self compassion and patience, but it may give us a sense of having some control when we feel overwhelmed with emotions. #esseretherapies #traumawork
